Inner and Outer Thigh
Most women store fat on their inner and outer thighs. Most women want to get rid of this fat. One of the most popular methods employed in a gym are the inner and outer thigh machines. I have to admit the first time I saw them I heard angles sing. Before becoming a trainer I used them all the time, always increasing the weight, my inner thighs were so strong I could crack walnuts with my knees. Cracking walnuts with your knees is not very lady-like, and worst of all my thighs never got any smaller using these machines.
How to Burn Fat From Your Thighs
You can’t burn fat sitting on your butt, unless you’re Lance Armstrong cycling up the Pyrenees, and we now know he cheated. The most effective way to burn fat from you thighs — and buy the way your whole body, are with an exercises that incorporate both cardio and resistance training. For my clients who want to target their thighs I incorporate lateral lunges or crab walks into their workouts.
How To Do A Lateral Lung
Lateral lunges are easy, they don’t require any equipment ,and you are less likely to injure yourself doing them verse the inner and outer thigh machines.
- With your feet 2 inches apart, toes forward, knees soft, pull you navel to your spine, this engages your core and straightens you posture.
- Step to the side— laterally and squat about a foot to a foot in a half, this is not a deep squat.
- Return to standing position.
- Step to the opposite side — laterally and squat about a foot to a foot in a half, this is not a deep squat.
- Repeat alternating sides, no less than 8 reps on each side, 16 total, or until you are fatigued.
Biggest Looser?
This exercise alone will not burn a significant amount of fat. No exercise alone will burn a significant amount of fat which is why all of those crunches you’ve been doing to get a six-pack haven’t worked . . . you can’t lose weight laying on your back!
