Cherie Collazo, Personal Trainer & Fitness Coach

Certified by the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America, (AFAA) in 1998, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2006, I’ve been helping people change the shape of their bodies for 13 years.
As a working woman I know how important health, fitness, and appearance are to women, and how hectic life can be. Like most of you I started exercising as a result of weight gain. Feeling out of shape, and unhappy with my body, I decided to join a gym. Afraid to go by myself I talked a friend into joining with me. We spent our first clumsy month in the back of an aerobic class trying to be as inconspicuous as one can be when one is wearing spandex pants.
Aerobics classes were good, it was fun, but it wasn’t enough. My body wasn’t changing the way I wanted it too. I sheepishly made my way on to the weight training floor and began exercising with weights. I loved the way weight training made my body look and feel. Exuding confidence, friends and family soon came to me for advice and help with exercise. I became a trainer because I love working out and helping people.
Bombarded with messages of what an attractive woman should look like, and weigh, an exercise program that promises maximum results in a minimum amount of time is tempting for most. The short term results are quick and dramatic, but 85% to 90% of diet and exercise regiments like these lead to yoyo weight loss and consequently heart break. I haven’t met a woman yet who has the time, the strength, or the emotional fortitude to exercise for temporary results.
For 13 years now I’ve been designing programs that help people lose weight, keep it off, and finally get the bodies they want. Most importantly I provide the support and motivation needed to help you stick to your goals.
